On October 2, 2025, I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the Yukon Veterans Museum's 12th Annual Gala —an experience I will never forget! Last Wednesday, October 9, 2025, Conrad Dudderar, the Associate Editor of the Yukon Progress, a local newspaper, attended the Gala and wrote an exceptionally kind article about the event. Mr. Dudderar highlighted the following points from my Keynote talk:

• “They teach us how to go to war. They teach us how to fight. But they don’t teach us how to come home,”

• “It’s the same way in medicine. They teach us how to take care of people. They teach us how to save people’s lives. But they don’t teach us how to bring it home. How do you come home and tell your wife [about a traumatic case]?”
